MAINSYS is specialized in IT services and software editing for the banking and financial sectors.

MAINSYS in a Belgian company founded in 1995 by two engineers, experts in the banking sector: Jean-Marie Thibaut and Pierre Lemaire.

In order to maintain its growth MAINSYS Group was successively joined by several banking IT specialists so that MAINSYS shareholding is now distributed among five managing partners and an institutional investor.

MAINSYS has a turnover of 15 million Euros (2011), employs more than 150 highly qualified people and has set up offices in Brussels, Paris and Luxembourg.

MAINSYS has opted for a horizontal hierarchy for flexibility and reactivity reasons. This type of management organizes the company by building up temporary project teams which have the complementary knowledge necessary for the successful outcome of the mission. The staff members are gathered according to their skills into different departments and work under restricted strains in terms of costs, delays and performance as long as needed by the project. They work under the responsibility of a project manager.
